DAY 1: CASABLANCA, RABAT, MEKNES & FES

Welcome to Casablanca! Our 8 days tour begins with a visit to the impressive Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco. From there, we will travel to Rabat, one of Morocco’s four royal cities, where you will have the opportunity to explore the historic Kasbah of Oudayas and the unfinished Tower of Hassan. Next, we’ll journey to Meknes and Volubilis, where you can witness the southernmost frontier of the Roman Empire’s famous ruins. Meknes, known as the birthplace of the first Arab dynasty founded by Moulay Ismail, is home to the beautiful Madrasa Bou Inania and the Bab Mansour gate. You will have plenty of time to explore these fascinating sites before reaching Fes, where you’ll check into your hotel or riad and spend the night.

DAY 2: EXPLORE FES WITH A TOUR GUIDE

Once we finish breakfast, we’ll rendezvous with a professional local tour guide to embark on our journey to the “oldest living Medina in the world” – Fes. During our walking tour of the Medina, we’ll explore its vibrant “souks” (markets), the Royal Palace entrance, the 9th-century Karaouine Mosque, and the University. We’ll also visit the tomb of “Moulay Idriss II,” the city’s founder. For lunch, we’ll enjoy a delicious meal at one of the charming eateries in the historic Medina. After lunch, our tour continues as we visit the Batha Museum, the historic Harem Garden, and the Nejjarine Fountain. On the way back to our hotel, we’ll stop to marvel at a panoramic view of the area.

DAY 3: FROM FES TO MERZOUGA VIA AZROU, MEDILT, AND ZIZ VALLEY

We’ll start the day by picking you up from your hotel or Riad, and then we’ll drive towards Azrou, located in the south of Fes. On the way, we’ll pass through Ifrane, which is also known as Morocco’s Switzerland due to its stunning natural beauty. We’ll take a break at a cedar forest, where you’ll get to capture some unforgettable moments with the Barbary apes. We’ll then continue our journey through the Atlas Mountains, where you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Midelt. After having lunch, we’ll drive through the scenic Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga. Once we arrive, a warm cup of tea will be waiting for us at the hotel or riad where we’ll be spending the night.

DAY 4: ERG CHEBBI DUNES TOUR AND NOMAD VISIT

On the fourth day of our tour, we’ll start with an exciting adventure into the vast dunes of Erg Chebbi, which are known for their captivating beauty and unique Berber culture. Our first stop will be at a traditional Berber house, where we’ll be welcomed with a cup of tea and some lively Gnawa music, which originated from sub-Saharan Africa and has evolved to become an integral part of Moroccan culture. We’ll have a chance to learn about the Berber way of life, their customs, and their craftworks, such as the making of rugs, pottery, and jewelry. Afterward, we’ll head back to Merzouga for lunch and some rest. In the afternoon, we’ll embark on a thrilling camel ride that will take us through the golden sands and towering dunes of the Sahara. This unforgettable experience will give us a glimpse into the nomadic lifestyle of the desert dwellers and the stunning landscape that surrounds them.

As the sun begins to set over the dunes, we’ll reach our campsite, which is nestled in the heart of the desert. Here, we’ll have a chance to capture some incredible photos of the sunset and the starry sky. We’ll enjoy a delicious dinner of traditional Moroccan cuisine, served under the stars, and then gather around the campfire to listen to some music and stories from our friendly guides. Later, we’ll retire to our luxurious private tents, which are equipped with comfortable beds, blankets, and pillows, ensuring a peaceful and cozy night’s sleep amidst the tranquil desert surroundings.

DAY 5: MERZOUGA TO DADES VALLEY VIA RISSANI AND TODRA GORGES TOUR

Rise and shine! We’ll start the day early to catch the stunning sunrise over the dunes before returning to Merzouga. After freshening up with a shower and enjoying a delicious breakfast, we’ll hit the road to Rissani, a charming town located just 30 km away from Merzouga. Here, you’ll have the chance to explore the local market and browse for unique souvenirs such as fossils, carpets, and lamps. Next, we’ll head to Tinghir and the breathtaking Todra Gorge, one of the tallest and narrowest valleys in Morocco. The gorge provides an ideal setting for a leisurely walk or relaxing by the river while soaking up the Berber culture. After a tasty meal in the middle of the gorge, we’ll continue our journey through the scenic Dades Valley and finally settle in for the night at a lovely hotel nestled atop a mountain.

 DAY 6: DADES TO MARRAKECH VIA OUARZAZATE AND KASBAH TAOURIRT 

The day will begin with a fantastic breakfast to energize you for the journey ahead. After fueling up, we will hit the road and make our way to the Skoura oasis. As we leave behind the Dades valleys, we will be treated to breathtaking views of the Moroccan landscape. The Skoura oasis is a natural wonder, and its centerpiece is the incredible Kasbah Amridil. This fortified village is a prime example of the traditional architecture of southern Morocco and offers a glimpse into the country’s rich cultural heritage. From there, we will continue our journey to Ouarzazate, a city known as the “Gateway to the Sahara.” One of the highlights of the city is the Atlas film studio, where many famous movies have been filmed. You’ll get the chance to explore the studio and perhaps even catch a glimpse of ongoing productions.

Next on our itinerary is the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, one of the most impressive and well-preserved Kasbahs in the country. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was once an important stop on the caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara, and its architecture reflects the unique blend of influences from North Africa and the Mediterranean. After exploring the Kasbah, we’ll take a break for lunch at a local restaurant. You’ll have the opportunity to savor delicious Moroccan cuisine while taking in the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. By evening, we will arrive in Marrakech, where you will be taken to your hotel or Riad to spend the night. This bustling city is a feast for the senses, with its vibrant colors, bustling souks, and delicious food. You’ll have the chance to explore it more on the following days of your itinerary.

DAY 7: EXPLORE THE BEST OF MARRAKECH WITH A FULL-DAY SIGHTSEEING TOUR

At approximately 9:00 AM, after indulging in a delectable Moroccan breakfast, we will embark on a full-day guided tour of the Medina. This vibrant area is steeped in history and culture, and your knowledgeable guide will lead you through its narrow alleyways and vibrant souks. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit some of the most iconic attractions in Marrakech. First up is a visit to one of the most historical moments near Jemaa el Fna square. You’ll learn about the rich history and cultural significance of this landmark, which has played a crucial role in the city’s development over the centuries.

Next on the itinerary is the El-Koutoubia mosque, one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in Morocco. Your guide will offer insights into the history and architecture of this impressive structure. After that, we will head to the Saadian tombs, which date back to the 16th century. This is a unique opportunity to see the final resting place of the Saadian dynasty, one of the most influential ruling families in Moroccan history. Finally, we will visit the Menara Gardens, a tranquil oasis in the heart of the city. You’ll have a chance to relax and take in the stunning views of the surrounding mountains while learning about the history and cultural significance of this beautiful space.

 DAY 8: TRANSFER FROM MARRAKECH TO AIRPORT
