DAY 1: EXPLORE AIT BEN HADDOU, OUARZAZATE AND DADES

At the start of our 6 days tour from Marrakech, we will greet you at Menara Airport in Marrakech and begin our journey. Our first stop is the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a 16th-century stronghold and UNESCO World Heritage Site, which we will reach by crossing the High Atlas via Tizi-n-Tichka, a pass that sits at 2260 meters above sea level. After exploring the area and having lunch, we’ll head to Ouarzazate, the capital city of cinema in Morocco, which has been the backdrop for major blockbuster films such as Gladiator, Les Chemins de la Liberty, Laurence of Arabia, and the Kingdom of Heaven. You’ll have some free time to rest before we continue our journey towards Dades Valley, an area that boasts nomad crossings, rose valleys, and two-tone kasbahs that will challenge your imagination. We’ll end the day with dinner at a nearby hotel.

DAY 2: DA,DES VALLEY, TODGHA GORGE AND MERZOUGA

The next day, you will wake up to the stunning views of the Sahara Desert as the sun rises over the sand dunes. You will have breakfast in the camp before embarking on a full-day exploration of the desert. You can take part in activities such as sandboarding or quad biking through the dunes, or simply relax and enjoy the tranquility of the desert. In the afternoon, you will have the opportunity to visit a nearby nomadic village and learn about their way of life in the desert. You can interact with the locals and gain insight into their culture and traditions.

As the day draws to a close, you will return to the camp for another night under the stars. You will enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner while being entertained by local musicians playing the traditional Gnawa music. The night sky in the desert is truly breathtaking, and you will have the chance to stargaze before retiring to your comfortable tent for the night.

DAY 3: DISCOVER MERZOUGA’S HIDDEN GEMS

One entire day of our 6 days tour is devoted exclusively to exploring the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. We start our day early by waking up before sunrise and ascending the sand dunes to witness the breathtaking view of the sunrise. This is an ideal chance to take some unforgettable pictures. After that, you will enjoy a delicious breakfast to energize you for the rest of the day. We will then take you to visit the Gnawa house, where you can spend some time with the black community that performs this traditional folk music art. You won’t encounter this opportunity anyplace else. Afterwards, we will head to Rissani to explore the local market and try the famous Berber pizza before returning to your hotel to relax and rejuvenate for the next day’s adventures.

DAY 4: MERZOUGA DESERT TO FES VIA IFRANE

On the way to Fes, you will cross through the scenic Ziz Valley, known for its beautiful palm groves and the stunning panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains. You will also pass through Midelt, a city located in the heart of the Atlas Mountains, where you will have a chance to take a break and enjoy the views. Another highlight of this day is Azrou forest, one of the most breathtaking cedar forests in Morocco, and a sanctuary for the Barbary macaque monkey. You will have an opportunity to stop and take pictures of these playful creatures and enjoy the fresh mountain air.

As you approach Fes, you will drive through Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco for its charming European-style architecture, clean streets, and beautiful gardens. You will have some free time to explore this picturesque town before continuing on to Fes, the oldest and most famous imperial city in Morocco. Once you arrive in Fes, you will spend the night in a traditional Riad or hotel, where you can relax and soak up the unique atmosphere of this historic city.

DAY 5: EXPLORE THE IMPERIAL CITY OF FES

Fes is a city rich in history and culture, and there are many things to do and see. Take a stroll through the winding alleys of the old Medina, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest car-free urban areas in the world. Explore the souks, where you can find everything from spices to traditional Moroccan handicrafts or take a guided tour to learn more about the history of the city and its landmarks. In the Ville Nouvelle, the modern part of the city, you’ll find a completely different atmosphere. Here, there are wide boulevards, modern shops, and trendy cafes, giving you a glimpse of the modern side of Moroccan life.

No visit to Fes is complete without a trip to the Chouara Tannery. This fascinating site has been in operation since the 11th century and is a testament to the city’s long-standing leatherworking industry. You can take a guided tour to see the workers at their craft and learn about the dyeing process. Another must-see landmark is the Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, one of the oldest mosques in the world, founded in 859 ACE. The mosque is known for its exquisite interior decoration and intricate tilework and is a true masterpiece of Moroccan architecture.

DAY 6: FES TO RABAT AND CASABLANCA

After having breakfast at the Riad, we will head towards the capital city of Morocco, which is just a few hours away by car. On the way, you will be mesmerized by the beautiful Kasbah of Oudayas and its narrow streets, where you can explore and get lost in its charm. You will also have the chance to see the unfinished Hassan Tower and the grand columns that adorn the area. Our 6 days tour from Marrakech will come to an end once we reach Casablanca city, but not before you pay a visit to the magnificent Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world. After this fantastic experience, you will depart from Casablanca with a promise to return and relive this unforgettable journey again.
