DAY 1: CASABLANCA, RABAT, AND THE BLUE CITY OF CHEFCHAOUEN

As soon as you arrive in Casablanca, our team will be there to welcome you at the airport. Our first stop will be the iconic Hassan II Mosque, a major historical site in the city. After that, we’ll head to Rabat, the capital of Morocco, to explore the unfinished tower of Hassan and the Kasbah of Oudayas with a guided tour. Following lunch, we’ll leave Rabat and make our way to the picturesque town of Chefchaouen, famous for its stunning blue architecture. On the drive to Chefchaouen, also known as Chaouen, we’ll take in the breathtaking scenery of the Riff Mountains. You’ll spend the night at a beautiful hotel located in the heart of the city.

DAY 2: EXPLORING CHEFCHAOUEN, VOLUBILIS, MEKNES, AND FES

After waking up in the beautiful town of Chefchaouen, also known as “the Blue Pearl,” you can take a leisurely stroll through its colorful and vibrant streets. This town is mainly painted in blue, which adds to its charm. Later, we will head to Fes, the spiritual center of Morocco, with a stop at Volubilis, an ancient Roman city in ruins and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you can discover the fascinating history of past civilizations. We’ll then proceed to Meknes, one of the country’s four imperial cities, with many notable sites to explore, such as Bab Mansour, the old medina, and Lahdim Square. Upon arrival in Fes, we’ll drive to a traditional Riad where we will spend the night.

DAY 3: DISCOVERING THE IMPERIAL CITY OF FES

After breakfast at your hotel or riad, you’ll have the whole day to explore the imperial city of Fes, one of Morocco’s oldest and most culturally and historically significant cities. A local guide will accompany you as you explore the ancient Medina, visiting traditional souks, the gates of the royal palace, and the world’s oldest university, Quaraouine. During lunchtime, you’ll enjoy a meal at a traditional Moroccan restaurant. Our next stops on this exciting day are the Batha Museum and the Nejjarine Fountain. The day will end with a café visit on a terrace, where you can take in a magnificent view of the city before returning to your Riad.

DAY 4: EXPLORE FES, IFRANE, AZROU, ERFOUD, AND THE MAJESTIC SAHARA DESERT

On Day 4, we will depart from Fes early in the morning to embark on a scenic journey to Merzouga. Along the way, we will traverse the Middle Atlas and make a stop in the charming town of Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” to take in its picturesque beauty. Our next stop will be at the forests of Azrou, where we will have the opportunity to observe wild macaque monkeys in their natural habitat. After that, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in Midelt City, known as the geographic center of the Middle Atlas.

Continuing on our journey, we will pass through the breathtaking Ziz valley, where we will pause to take in the stunning scenery and capture some photos. As we head towards Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi desert, we will also pass by the desert towns of Erfoud. Finally, we will arrive at Merzouga, where we will check in at our Riad and enjoy the warm hospitality of our hosts. The night promises to be unforgettable as we will go on a camel ride through the mesmerizing dunes of the Sahara and watch the sunset over the desert. Afterward, we will settle in for a cozy night’s sleep in traditional Berber tents under a canopy of twinkling stars.

DAY 5: CAMEL RIDING AND DESERT CAMPING IN MERZOUGA

On the next day of our excursion, we’ll have a fantastic time exploring Merzouga’s surroundings and immersing ourselves in desert culture. We’ll begin with a short 4×4 journey across the sand dunes, taking us to the ancient town of Khamlia, known for being the birthplace of Gnaoua music and its significance to the region. We’ll also visit nomad families and experience their way of life in this remote area, while sharing a cup of tea with them before returning to Merzouga. After lunch, we’ll relax in Merzouga and, during the late afternoon, we’ll ride camels and witness the stunning desert landscape at sunset. The camel ride will lead us to a secret desert camp, where we’ll indulge in a delectable traditional dinner and enjoy live music by local musicians before retiring to our luxurious, well-appointed tents for the night.

DAY 6: EXPLORING MERZOUGA, RISSANI, TODRA GORGES, AND DADES GORGES

Today, we will take a different and more scenic route, passing through gorges and Berber settlements as we leave the Sahara behind. After traveling through Rissani and Tinghir, we will arrive at the stunning Todra Gorge, a natural oasis formed by the River Todra cutting through limestone over time. The gorge is one of Morocco’s top tourist attractions, with towering canyon walls that reach over 400 meters high, creating an almost mystical ambiance. We’ll enjoy a delicious lunch in the gorge before continuing our journey to the Dades Valley, where we’ll witness the breathtaking beauty and expansive views of the Dades Valley. Our dinner and breakfast will be at a nearby hotel while still in the Dades Gorge.

DAY 7: FROM DADES GORGE TO MARRAKECH VIA OUARZAZATE AND AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH

On the last day of our trip, we will embark on a scenic journey through the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, which will lead us to Ouarzazate, a renowned international filmmaking hub where many movies have been produced. We will also have the opportunity to visit Atlas Studios before heading to Kalaat Mgouna, also known as the Capital of Roses, to explore a local rose factory. Next, we will visit the historic Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has served as the backdrop for many famous films. Finally, our journey will conclude with a picturesque drive over the majestic High Atlas Mountains to Marrakech, our final destination.
