2 Days Tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert

Day 1: Marrakech – Ouarzazate – Tinghir – Merzouga Desert

Today, we will start your journey by picking you up from your Marrakech hotel/riad. We will head towards Ait Ben Haddou, venturing through the stunning High Atlas Mountains and crossing the Tizi N’tichka pass, which stands at an altitude of 2260 meters. Our first stop will be at the remarkable Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. After exploring this historical site, we will pause for a delightful lunch at a local restaurant on the way. We’ll then drive to Ouarzazate and make a brief stop near the Atlas Film Studios for a photo opportunity. Our next destination is the city center, where you will enjoy a panoramic view of the kasbah of Taourirt, Kalaa M’gouna, Boumalne du Dades, and a sweeping view of Dades Valley. Continuing on, we will reach Todra Gorges via Imider and Tineghir, with numerous stops for photos and scenic appreciation along the route. At Todra Gorges, you will be captivated by the magnificent canyon views. Our journey will proceed to Tinejdad and then to Erfoud, and from there, we will press on toward the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, also known as the Merzouga Dunes.

Upon arriving at the camel area, you will prepare for an enchanting camel trek to witness the desert mesmerizing sunset. As you journey on the back of your dromedary, you will head to the camp, where you will spend the night in the luxury desert camp. The evening will be graced with a hearty dinner, and you will have the unique experience of spending the night in a bivouac, nestled in the heart of the desert.

Day 2: Merzouga Desert – Marrakech

After savoring the enchanting sunrise amidst the sand dunes and indulging in a hearty breakfast, your journey will lead you back to Marrakech. Along the way, you will make a few strategic stops to relish the surroundings and enjoy a leisurely lunch. Continuing your route, you will traverse the High Atlas Mountains, ascending the Tizi N’tichka pass, which stands at an impressive altitude of 2260 meters. Your journey concludes upon reaching Marrakech, where we will drop you off at your accommodation. This marks the end of your memorable 2 days tour from Marrakech Merzouga desert.
