Along the way, you will have the opportunity to sample delicious Moroccan cuisine, learn about the country’s vibrant history and traditions, and meet friendly locals. DAY 1: EXPLORE AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH, OUARZAZATE AND DADES VALLEY

Start your 7-day adventure in Marrakech, where we’ll pick you up from your hotel/riad or airport. Our first stop will be the Tizi N Tichka Pass in the Atlas Mountains, where you’ll have the chance to take a walk and admire the stunning Berber villages. Next, we’ll visit the Telouet kasbah, a 17th-century fortress located in the town of Telouet. From there, we’ll drive to Ouarzazate to visit the UNESCO-protected Ait ben Haddou kasbah and the beautiful kasbah Taourirt.

As we make our way to Skoura, you’ll be treated to views of the 18th-century Kasbah of Ameridhil, one of the most picturesque kasbahs in the area. In Kalaat Mgouna, also known as the rose valley, you’ll have the opportunity to see and smell the lovely roses that are grown there. Our day will end in the Dades valley, where you’ll witness the stunning rock formation known as the “monkey toes” and other nomadic landscapes. We’ll also explore the famous Dades Gorges and enjoy a beautiful sunset view from the Tissdrine road. Your evening will be spent in a local riad/hotel, where you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and a comfortable night’s sleep.

DAY 2: JOURNEY THROUGH TODGHA GORGE AND ENJOY A DESERT SUNSET IN MERZOUGA

After a delicious breakfast at your riad, get ready for an epic day of your 4-day desert tour. We’ll start by visiting the Todgha Gorges, where you’ll have free time to take in the panoramic views of Berber villages and walk under the 300m high cliff, a popular spot for rock climbers. From there, we’ll head to Merzouga, passing through the picturesque towns of Tinjdad, Erfoud, and Er-Rissani, all while enjoying the breathtaking landscapes of the Sahara Oasis.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing glass of mint tea and have some time to relax and soak in the serene desert atmosphere at your accommodation. You can also explore the charming village of Merzouga. As the day comes to a close, you’ll have the chance to witness one of the most stunning sunsets in the world as you climb the sand dunes barefoot. Afterward, you’ll spend a comfortable overnight in your riad/hotel.

DAY 3: WITNESS THE BEAUTY OF MERZOUGA

You will wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise before returning to your riad/hotel for breakfast. Today, you will have the opportunity to observe our way of life. Our journey will take us around the dunes, passing through the Merzouga oasis, and arriving at the nomadic repository of Khamlia, an authentic African village. Here, you will visit the Gnawa people to experience their music and culture. Near Khamlia, you will find the Merzouga lake, home to a diverse bird population. Next, we will depart for Rissani, also known as Sijilmassa, a historic city and birthplace of many Moroccan kings. It was also the meeting place for African caravans. In Rissani, you can stroll through the souk, where spices, vegetables, and clothing are sold.

Following a warm welcome and a glass of refreshing mint tea, you will mount a camel, led by a skilled guide, and explore the mysterious Erg-Chebbi sand-sea. Riding on camels, you can marvel at the stunning beauty of the Sahara Desert. At your nomad tents, you can relax and enjoy the sunset over the golden dunes, one of the most spectacular sunsets in the world. Finally, you will have dinner before retiring to your tent or sleeping under the stars. We can make arrangements for Berber nomads to perform traditional music with drums and dance around the campfire, if you’re interested. Our camp is equipped with Western-style bathrooms and showers for your convenience.

DAY 4: FROM MERZOUGA TO TAFILALT OASIS, IFRANE, AND FES

You’ll be woken up at dawn to witness one of the most breathtaking sunrises in the world, an unforgettable moment to cherish. As you make your way back to Merzouga village, take a moment to appreciate the unique beauty of the Erg Chebbi sand dunes. After a satisfying breakfast at your accommodation, we’ll set off on a journey towards Fes, passing through the picturesque Ziz Valley. We will begin our journey with a visit to Erfoud, renowned for its fossils. We’ll then continue on to the Ziz Gorges, offering a stunning rocky passage, and finally the Oued Ziz leading to the Tafilalt Oases. Our journey will take us alongside the trailing edge of the Cedar Forest to Azrou, situated on a steep hill of cedar forests where endangered Barbary Apes reside.

Our next destination is Ifran, a well-organized and modern city that exudes a Swiss-like atmosphere in the heart of the Middle Atlas. In the late afternoon, we’ll head to Fes, where you’ll spend the night at our Hotel/Riad.

DAY 5: EXPLORE THE BEST OF FES-DAY SIGHTSEEING TOUR

You will begin your day with breakfast in your Riad/hotel before embarking on a journey to the spiritual capital and oldest city of Morocco, Fes. You will explore the crowded souks, historical monuments, and epic alleyways by foot, starting with the impressive Royal Palace gate that divides new Fes from the old city.

Afterwards, we will embark on a cultural and historical tour of several significant sites, including the renowned Al Qaraouine University, the Tanneries, and the Attarine Museum. After a satisfying lunch, you will be guided through Fes El Bali, an exotic and ancient UNESCO World Heritage site in the city. Its labyrinthine alleys and Moroccan landmarks, such as Babb Boujloud, the medina’s main gate, make it a fascinating area to explore. Fes El Bali also boasts a bustling Souk featuring local hand-made crafts, including vibrant Moroccan styles, leatherwork, and metalwork. In the afternoon, we will explore the new city and enjoy a refreshing drink before retiring for the night at a Hotel/Riad.

DAY 6: EXPERIENCE THE WONDERS OF VOLUBILIS, MEKNES AND RABAT FROM FES,

Following breakfast at your hotel/riad, a full-day tour will commence. The first stop in the morning will be at Volubilis, the most renowned Roman remnant in Morocco dating back to AD 24-285. Next, we will continue to Meknes, a historic imperial city that dates back to the early rulers of the Alawite dynasty who governed Morocco. During our tour of Meknes, you will have the opportunity to witness the grandeur of the Babb el-Mansur gateway, the Sahrij Souani Basin, and the lavishly decorated Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Our journey will then continue to Rabat, where you will spend the night in our Hotel/Riad.

DAY 7: DISCOVERING THE HISTORICAL SIGHTS OF RABAT AND CASABLANCA

After breakfast at your hotel, we will begin our exploration of Morocco’s capital city, RABAT. The tour will include the 12th-century Hassan Tower and the 11th-century Ordains Kasbah, a fortress built in the Andalusian style that offers stunning views of Sale city and the Atlantic Ocean. After lunch, we will continue on to Casablanca, Morocco’s primary commercial capital. Our first stop will be at the Hassan II Mosque, the second-largest mosque in the world and an incredible architectural achievement located on the rocky bay overlooking the ocean. Next, we will visit Place Mohamed V, home to many historic government buildings. At the end of our 7 days Morocco tour from Marrakech, we will drop you off at your hotel or any other location of your choice.
