DAY 1: EXPLORING CHEFCHAOUEN AND FES

During the first day of your 6 days tour from Tangier, we will take you on a breathtaking journey through the Rif Mountains and the charming city of Tetouan. Along the way, you will enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the mountains and the lush green landscapes. Our first destination is Chefchaouen, a picturesque village nestled at the foothills of the Rif Mountains, known for its striking blue buildings and narrow, winding streets. You will have the opportunity to explore Chefchaouen’s enchanting Medina, which boasts a Spanish-style square and numerous quirky arts and crafts shops, as well as a variety of restaurants and cafes where you can indulge in delicious local cuisine. After lunch, we will continue our journey to Fes, where we will spend the night in a comfortable hotel.

DAY 2: EXPLORE FES WITH A LOCAL GUIDE

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, the second day of your tour is dedicated to exploring the city of Fes, which is not only the oldest of the imperial cities but also considered as one of the world’s largest medieval cities. It was founded by Idriss II in the 9th century and has since then remained a center of Arab-Muslim culture. During the tour, you will visit the iconic Mosque of the Andalusians, which is one of the oldest mosques in Fes and is renowned for its stunning architectural design. You will also get a chance to visit the vibrant tanneries, where leather is still dyed using traditional methods, and the district potters, where you can witness the creation of beautiful pottery pieces.

After exploring the Medina, you will have lunch in a palace situated in the heart of the city, where you will get a taste of the local cuisine. In the afternoon, you will continue your tour by visiting the magnificent Hispano-Moorish buildings and Medersas Nejjarine, which are beautifully crafted buildings that have played a vital role in the education system of the city.

DAY 3: FES TO MERZOUGA DESERT VIA IFRANE AND AZROU CEDAR FOREST

This day of your 6 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech is filled with breathtaking scenery and exciting activities. After breakfast, you’ll embark on a journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you’ll witness the stunning beauty of Ifran and Azrou. As you make your way through the mountains, you’ll stop at the cedar forests to see the Barbary Macaques in their natural habitat. These playful primates are a must-see when visiting Morocco. Continuing your journey, you’ll pass through the Tizi Ntalghamt and see the beautiful Ziz gorges that have been carved into the volcanic rock. The views of the plateau of the Middle Atlas and the changing landscape will leave you in awe as you approach the city of Errachidia. After a delicious lunch, you’ll continue your journey through the Ziz valley and pass through Erfoud, Rissani, and finally, Merzouga. Upon your arrival in Merzouga, you’ll be welcomed with a glass of refreshing mint tea before leaving your luggage in a hotel and embarking on a camel trek to a Berber camp in the dunes of Erg Chebbi. These towering sand dunes are the highest in North Africa, and you’ll have the opportunity to witness their beauty up close.

The camel trek to the Berber camp takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes, and upon your arrival, you’ll be greeted with warm hospitality and traditional Berber tents equipped with comfortable mattresses, blankets, and pillows. As the sun sets over the sand dunes, you’ll enjoy a hearty dinner followed by an evening of entertainment around the campfire. You’ll listen to the soulful tunes of traditional Berber songs and the rhythmic beats of the drums under the stars. DAY 4: MERZOUGA TO DADES GORGES VIA TODRA GORGES

As the sun rises over the sand dunes, we wake up early to witness a breathtaking view and enjoy a camel ride back to our hotel. After freshening up and having a delicious breakfast, we continue our journey towards Tinghir and the Todra Gorges, which are famous for their stunning rock formations that tower above the valley. You will have the opportunity to explore the gorges and admire the incredible natural beauty of the area. Our journey continues through the Dades Valley, also known as the Valley of the Roses, where we will stop to have dinner and spend the night. This valley is renowned for its striking red rock formations, picturesque villages, and scenic routes that lead to stunning viewpoints. You’ll have plenty of time to explore the valley’s hidden gems and learn about the local culture and traditions.

DAY 5: DADES GORGES TO MARRAKECH VIA AIT BEN HADDOU

After breakfast, we start our journey through the scenic Dades Valley, known for its picturesque rock formations and stunning landscapes. We will drive towards Kalaat M’Gouna, also known as the “Valley of Roses,” where we can see vast fields of roses that bloom in the spring, and the roses are used to produce rosewater and other products. From there, we continue to Skoura, a small village known for its stunning palm groves and ancient kasbahs. As we drive towards Ouarzazate, we will pass through the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” where we will have ample photo opportunities to capture the beauty of these ancient fortified dwellings. Ouarzazate is known as “the Hollywood of Africa” and is home to several famous movie studios, including Atlas Studios and CLA Studios. After lunch at the famous Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, we will explore this UNESCO World Heritage site, which is the largest Kasbah in Morocco and has been featured in numerous movies, including Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia.

Our adventure carries on through the magnificent Tizi n’Tichka pass, which climbs to an elevation of 2260 meters in the High Atlas Mountains. We will pause to appreciate the awe-inspiring vistas of the nearby mountains before ultimately reaching Marrakech in the late afternoon.

DAY 6: EXPLORE MARRAKECH WITH A LOCAL GUIDE

Marrakech is a city full of vibrant energy and rich culture, and on this day of the tour, you’ll get to experience it all. Your knowledgeable city guide will lead you to some of the most important and fascinating historical sites in the city, starting with the towering Minaret Koutoubia Mosque. You’ll also visit the Saadian tombs, where you’ll learn about the fascinating history of this important Moroccan dynasty, and explore the intricate beauty of the Bahia Palace, which was once the home of a wealthy Moroccan nobleman. As you wander through the streets of the medina, you’ll have the chance to observe the skilled craftsmen and women who create traditional Moroccan goods like textiles, pottery, and jewelry. You’ll then arrive at the famous Djamaa El Fna, the bustling central square of Marrakech, where you can experience the vibrant energy of the city and maybe even take in a traditional performance. In the afternoon, you’ll visit the beautiful Majorelle Gardens, which are known for their exotic plants and serene beauty. You’ll also explore the modern area of Marrakech known as Gueliz, where you can see the influences of European architecture and culture.
