DAY 1: FES TO MERZOUGA VIA IFRANE, AZROU AND MIDELT

After enjoying breakfast, our comfortable air-conditioned private car will pick you up to embark on an exciting 4 days Tour from Fes to Marrakech. Our journey will take us through picturesque landscapes and charming towns. Our first stop is the lovely town of Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco for its pristine environment. We will explore both the ancient and modern towns before taking a scenic drive towards Azrou, where we will tour the famous cedar forest and enjoy the playful monkey troops. We will then continue to the small town of Midelt before heading to Merzouga. There, you will experience one of the best camel rides in Morocco as you climb giant dunes and witness a breathtaking sunset.

Spend the night at a traditional Berber nomad camp with a delicious dinner and classical Berber music around the campfire. Don’t miss the incredible stargazing experience the Sahara Desert offers.

DAY 2: DISCOVERING MERZOUGA’S BEST SIGHTS

Start your day early with a breathtaking view of the sunrise on top of the dunes in the Sahara Desert. Don’t forget to set your alarm and bring a camera to capture this once-in-a-lifetime moment. After the sunrise, your driver will be waiting for you to take you on another memorable camel ride back to your riad/hotel. Once you freshen up, get ready for a more immersive experience with a 4×4 off-track desert ride towards Hassilabied and Khamlia villages. Along the way, you might have the chance to meet nomads living in desert camps and enjoy live Gnawa music by the local tribes. The 4×4 off-road trip will take you deeper into the desert to discover Lake Dayte Sarje, several oases at the dunes, and the fascinating black volcanic rocks.

In the afternoon, visit the souks of Rissani, where you can find traditional Moroccan crafts and goods. Finally, end your day by driving back to your riad or hotel in Merzouga, knowing that another exciting adventure awaits you tomorrow.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA TO TODRA GORGE

In the morning, yu will have the opportunity to witness an awe-inspiring sunrise over the Merzouga town. After a hearty breakfast, we will embark on a scenic road trip towards Todra Gorge. Along the way, you will be mesmerized by the breathtaking landscape, which gradually changes from desert to lush green fields. You will also pass through several small towns and Berber villages, offering a glimpse into the local culture. Upon arriving at Todra Gorge, we will indulge in a delicious local meal at a nearby restaurant before exploring this stunning natural wonder.

Prepare to be amazed by the towering canyon walls, which reach up to 400 meters in height. We will stroll through the Todra Valley, admiring the lush oases that line the riverbanks. You can even hike through the Todra River Gorges, capturing as many photos as you like. We will also visit local tribe villages and gardens before enjoying another magical sunset. Finally, we will head back to the riad/hotel for a well-deserved rest.

DAY 4: EXPLORE AIT BENHADDOU AND TRAVEL TO MARRAKECH FROM OUARZAZATE

After breakfast on Day 4, we will begin our journey from Todra Gorge to Ouarzazate, a city with a rich history and a blend of ancient and modern architecture. The drive is filled with panoramic views of the Dadès Valley, and as we approach the city, you’ll be mesmerized by its ancient charm. In fact, Ouarzazate is such a unique and fascinating city that it has been featured in several movies, including the famous Game of Thrones series. Our first stop in Ouarzazate will be at the Kasbahs of Taourirt and Tifoultoute, two major attractions that offer a glimpse into the city’s past. After exploring the Kasbahs, we will head to the Ouarzazate Main Square before continuing on to the Atlas Film Studio, which has been used for filming many famous movies.

From there, we will take a scenic road trip to the village of Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to the most popular Kasbah in Morocco.  This ancient village is over 1200 years old and has a unique architecture that has been well-preserved over the centuries. Walking through the passageways of the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah feels like stepping back in time, and it’s truly a spectacular sight. We will spend the afternoon exploring the village before taking our final drive to Marrakech. The drive to Marrakech is one of the most scenic stretches of our 4 days Morocco desert tour. We will pass through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi n’Tichka pass, where we’ll have several stops to take pictures of the snow-capped peaks and stunning vistas.

By the evening, we will reach Marrakech, where our desert tour will come to an end. Our guide will drop you off at your hotel, and you can reflect on the amazing experiences you’ve had over the past four days.
