Welcome to our 12 days tour from Casablanca to the Northern Cities and Desert. This exciting adventure will take you on a journey through some of the most stunning and diverse landscapes that Morocco has to offer. From the bustling cities of Casablanca, Rabat, and Marrakech, to the tranquil towns of Chefchaouen and Essaouira, you’ll discover the rich history, culture, and architecture of this fascinating country. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, the stunning Atlas Mountains, and the breathtaking Sahara Desert. And with camel rides, local cuisine, and traditional music performances, you’ll truly immerse yourself in the unique beauty and charm of Morocco.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL AND EXPLORATION OF CASABLANCA

On the first day of your 12 days tour from Casablanca, we will warmly welcome you at the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca. Our team will be there to greet you and take you to your hotel, where you can check in and unwind after your journey. You will have some free time to explore the city at your own pace or simply rest and prepare for the exciting adventure ahead.

DAY 2: TRAVEL FROM CASABLANCA TO CHEFCHAOUEN VIA RABAT

On the second day of our 12-day tour from Casablanca, we’ll begin with a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque, the world’s largest mosque and a stunning example of Moroccan architecture. Notably, this is the only mosque in the world that offers inside tours to non-Muslims. After exploring Casablanca, we’ll travel to Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco, via luxury car. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to discover the awe-inspiring Kasbah of Oudayas, the impressive Hassan Tower, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V. From there, we’ll continue on to the charming blue city of Chefchaouen, where you can wander the city’s streets and admire the incredible native-designed architecture before checking in to your accommodation for the night.

DAY 3: EXPLORE THE SIGHTS OF CHEFCHAOUEN

After enjoying a delightful breakfast in your Riad, we will set out to explore Chefchaouen on the second day of our tour. This charming and picturesque town is known for its cleanliness, fresh air, and quaint atmosphere. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the old Medina, the Plaza Uta Hammam, and the town square located in the heart of the city. The narrow, steep cobblestone alleys, white-washed walls, blue doors and windows, and lush green hills in the background make for stunning photographic opportunities. While exploring the mountains, you’ll discover the beautiful natural spring water of Ras Elma and learn more about the city’s history and culture. Don’t miss out on visiting the souk (market) and other popular attractions. After a day of sightseeing, we’ll return you to your Riad for a restful evening.

DAY 4: DISCOVERING VOLUBILIS AND MEKNES ON THE WAY TO FES

After exploring the charming streets of Chefchaouen and capturing fascinating photographs, we will journey to the ancient Roman city of Volubilis. This UNESCO World Heritage Site has a rich history dating back to the Roman Empire, which controlled the town for over 200 years. Along the way, we’ll pass through the holy town of Moulay Driss before arriving at Meknes city, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s historic imperial cities. Here, you’ll visit the Bab al-Mansour entrance, the beautiful gardens, and the old medina, all of which are top attractions. Later in the afternoon, we’ll continue our journey to Fes, where you’ll stay in a traditional Riad and get some rest to prepare for the following day.

DAY 5: DISCOVER THE FASCINATING SIGHTS OF FES

On the fifth day of your 12 days tour from Casablanca, you will immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of Fes, the country’s first royal city. Your knowledgeable guide will lead you on a full-day tour of the city, taking you to visit renowned landmarks such as the world’s oldest university, Al-Qarawiyyin University, and the two fascinating medina districts of Fes el Bali and Fes el Jdid. You’ll marvel at the stunning architecture of the Bab Boujeloud gate in Fes el Bali and explore the historic 11th-century dye pots. Visit the exquisite Al Attarine Madrasa and discover the Mellah, the Jewish cemetery, in Fes el Jdid. If you have time, you can even catch the stunning sunset views from the Marinid Tombs. This jam-packed day will leave you with a newfound appreciation for the captivating history and culture of Morocco’s first royal city.

DAY 6: FROM FES TO MERZOUGA, PASSING THROUGH IFRAN AND ZIZ VALLEY 

After departing from Fes, we will travel to Ifrane, enjoying the scenic drive through the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, we’ll pass through charming small villages and the picturesque city of Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” due to its resemblance to a Swiss Alpine resort. Here, we’ll tour the cedar forest in Azrou, home to friendly monkeys that you can feed and interact with. After lunch in the town of Midelt, we’ll continue our journey through the stunning mountain landscape towards the Merzouga Sahara Desert.

On our way to the desert, we’ll pause at Ziz Valley to take in the breathtaking view of the vast oasis dotted with palm groves. The Sahara Desert is just an hour’s drive away, and once we arrive, camels will be waiting to take us on an unforgettable hike across the towering dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert, with a guide to lead the way. As we watch the sun set over the sand, we’ll arrive at our desert camp for the night, where we’ll be treated to a fascinating performance of Berber music and culture around a campfire under the stars.

DAY 7: TOURING THE DUNES AND VISITING NOMADS IN MERZOUGA

To witness a stunning sunrise that is unrivaled, you must rise early in the morning. We will embark on a long journey through various regions of the Sahara Desert, where you will have the opportunity to explore its beauty. Our journey begins in the central area of Merzouga, where you can see a large lake. We will then travel along an ancient trade route to reach the Sahara Desert, where the Tuareg people still live as nomads. We will visit them for tea and learn about their way of life. Afterward, we will stop at a former restaurant before heading to the Miss mining districts, which were once exploited by France.

Our next destination is Khamlia town, an African settlement where black Berbers with ancestry in Mali and Niger reside. Here, you will enjoy their music (gnawa music) and dance with them. We will stop at a stunning oasis on the edge of the sand before retiring to the hotel for the night.

DAY 8: DISCOVERING TODRA GORGES AND DADES VALLEY

Our next destination will be Rissani, where you’ll have the opportunity to explore the local market that takes place on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Afterwards, we’ll head to the stunning Dades Valley via the picturesque Todra Valley, which boasts charming mud villages and mountains. While there, we’ll visit the Todra Gorges, a narrow passage flanked by 300-meter high vertical cliffs that are popular with climbers. In the Dades Valley, we’ll see the mud kasbahs, some of which are still occupied by local families and nomads herding their animals. Take a relaxing evening at a hotel overlooking the valley.

DAY 9: DISCOVERING OUARZAZATE, AIT BENHADDOU, AND MARRAKECH

We’ll head to the town of Kelâat M’Gouna, also known as Rose Town, where rose petals are turned into rosewater or exported to perfume industries. The annual Festival of Roses, held in May, is a must-see. As we drive along Rose Street in Skoura, you’ll see numerous kasbahs, which are among the finest in Morocco. Skoura is a charming town in its own right. On our exploration, we’ll stop by Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Africa,” with the largest movie studios in Morocco. The highlight of this stop is a visit to the famous UNESCO World Heritage site, the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou. We’ll spend some quality time there before continuing our journey through the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N Tichka road, which provides stunning views of the mountain range. We’ll reach Marrakesh after only a few hours and enjoy dinner in a Riad.

DAY 10: DISCOVERING MARRAKECH

On day 10, we still have much to explore in the vibrant city of Marrakech. We will ensure that you have visited the most significant historical and cultural sites, such as the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia palace, the Majorelle Gardens, some of the places to visit in the city include the Ben Youssef Koranic school and the largest traditional market in Morocco. After lunch, take a leisurely stroll through the lively Jemaa el fna and souk, where you can browse hundreds of handicrafts. In your free afternoon, feel free to explore other areas of the city at your own pace before returning to your Riad or hotel for dinner.

DAY 11: COASTAL EXCURSION TO ESSAOUIRA

As our 12 days tour from Casablanca nears its end, we will depart from Marrakech and make our way to Essaouira, an ancient Portuguese city. On the way, we’ll pass through the Essaouira Argan trees and maybe see goats climbing them, providing an opportunity to learn about the local culture and visit an Argan factory run by women to see how Argan Oil is made. After a few stops, we’ll reach the Skalla fortress walls, where our exploration day begins.

The Medina, a Unesco World Heritage Site, is home to beautiful Thuya wood crafts. Essaouira, popularly referred to as the “City of the Wind,” is a haven for surfers from around the world. It also hosts an annual international Gnawa music festival and is known for its Gnawa music. The town has a rich history, as it was once inhabited by Portuguese, Roman, and Phoenician peoples, and the influence of their architecture can still be seen. After a full day of exploring this Atlantic coast, we’ll take you to a local hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 12: BACK HOME

At the end of your 12 days tour, we will bring you back to Casablanca, where the tour began. Throughout the tour, we visited several Moroccan cities and locations that are sure to leave a lasting impression. To ensure you catch your flight, we will transfer you to the airport in Casablanca, which is the final stop of the tour.
