DAY 1: FROM CASABLANCA TO RABAT

After having breakfast at your accommodations, our guide will pick you up to begin our 10 days tour from Casablanca in a private air-conditioned car. Our first stop will be in Rabat, the capital city of Morocco and one of the four imperial cities of the country. Rabat boasts a blend of historical and modern elements, making it an interesting destination to explore. Founded in the 12th century, it has a lot to offer for tourists to discover. Upon arrival, we will visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, an ancient village that holds the oldest mosque in Rabat. We will then stroll through the medieval medina and see its nearby attractions before visiting the medieval cemetery of Chellah before lunch. In the afternoon, we will explore the iconic Hassan Tower and the remnants of the unfinished mosque it was supposed to belong to. Our tour of Rabat’s medina and souks will continue before crossing over to Ville Nouvelle, the modern quarter of Rabat.

DAY 2: EXPLORING RABAT TO MEKNES

After breakfast, we will continue our 10 days tour from Casablanca by picking you up from your hotel and embarking on a scenic drive to Meknes. As another imperial city of Morocco, Meknes is a cultural hub with a rich historical character. The drive to Meknes will take us through a breathtaking mountainous landscape, providing ample opportunity for stunning photos and memorable moments. Upon arrival in Meknes, we will begin exploring the city’s major landmarks and historical highlights, including the picturesque Heri es-Souani and Borj Belkari. Additionally, we will tour the Grande Mosque and the stunning Bou Inania Madrasa.Before lunch, we will head to the bustling medina where we will enjoy a local meal and experience the vibrant atmosphere.

In the afternoon, we will visit the popular Bab Mansour, El Hedim square, and the old town of Meknes, known for its historical features such as the ramparts and decorative motifs.  DAY 3: MEKNES, VOLUBILIS AND CHEFCHAOUEN TOUR

After a delicious breakfast, we will head to the archeological site of Volubilis, where we will spend the morning exploring the well-preserved Roman ruins and learning about the fascinating history of this 3rd-century BCE settlement. The site offers insights into the Roman Empire’s architecture, daily life, and art, making it a must-see for history enthusiasts. We will stop for lunch at a local restaurant before embarking on a beautiful drive through the mountainous landscape to Chefchaouen. In the blue city of Chefchaouen, we will spend the remaining evening exploring its charming streets and enjoying a beautiful sunset behind the Rif Mountains. You’ll even have the chance to experience the city’s nightlife before retiring for the night.

DAY 4: CHEFCHAOUEN TO FES TRIP

The early-morning streets of Chefchaouen are truly a sight to behold, with few people in sight. Be sure to set your alarm to catch the sunrise over the blue streets before the hustle and bustle of the day begins. Following breakfast, we will resume our exploration of the city. Chefchaouen is a city that has preserved many of its historical features, including the old town, which has retained its look since the 15th century. The bright blue streets of the old town make it particularly charming and attractive to visitors, and it’s an ideal place for photography. We will visit major places of interest, including the historical medina and take leisurely strolls on the streets to appreciate this unique city fully. We’ll have lunch at Plaza Outa el-Hamman, which is lined with local traditional restaurants and cafés.

Afterward, we will visit more tourist sites, including the Kasbah Museum, the Grand Mosque, Ras el-Ma, souks and bazaars, and take a scenic hike in the Rif Mountains. In the evening, we will head to our next destination, Fes, where you will be dropped off at your accommodations.

DAY 5: DISCOVERING THE CHARMS OF FES

Fes, the second largest city in Morocco, was founded in 789 and exudes an ancient world charm. After breakfast, we will collect you from your accommodation and begin exploring the city’s breathtaking beauty. Our tour will take us through two medina quarters of medieval Fes where we will experience the historical ambiance of centuries-old streets. Before lunchtime, we will also visit the famous Medersa Bou Inania and Medersa el-Attarine. In the afternoon, we will continue our sightseeing of the city. A visit to the Quaraouiyine Mosque, a medieval mosque built in AD 857 with the world’s oldest library and a 9th-century Qur’an, will be one of our highlights. We will also explore the old Mellah (Jewish Quarter) in Fes el Jedid and the nearby site of the Royal Palace. Other places of interest to see include Bab Bou Jeloud, Chouara Tannery, Ibn Danan synagogue, Bou Jeloud gardens, and Jnan Sbil Park.

DAY 6: FES TO MIDELT DAY TRIP VIA IFRANGardensE AND AZROU

After breakfast, we will resume our exploration of Fes by visiting Ville Nouvelle, which represents the modern and contemporary side of the city. Here, you will find a plethora of cultural venues, malls, shopping locations, and striking fountains. European-style architecture is prevalent, and the contrast between this area and the old town is striking. Be sure to capture the fantastic photo opportunities before we leave the city and make our way to Midelt. The drive to Midelt is nothing short of spectacular, with breathtaking views of the mountainous landscape punctuated by ancient ruins, small kasbahs, and Berber villages.

We will make several stops in the popular towns along the way to experience the local flavor. Our first stop will be Ifrane, popularly known as the “Moroccan Switzerland” because of its pristine and clean environment. After exploring the town, we’ll have lunch before embarking on a scenic road trip to Azrou in the afternoon. The town’s popular attraction is the cedar forest and the friendly Barbary macaque monkeys that inhabit it. You will have the opportunity to interact and feed the monkeys before we proceed to Midelt for the night, where you will be dropped off at your accommodations.

DAY 7: MIDELT TO MERZOUGA ADVENTURE THROUGH THE SAHARA

After breakfast, we will embark on a tour of the charming small town of Midelt. The town has a rich historical background, having served as a French mining outpost in the 20th century. Today, it is famous for its apple orchards, fossils, and stunning landscape. Some of the notable attractions we will visit include Aguelmous, Eglise de Midelt, Notre Dame de l’Atlas monastery, and the striking Gorges d’Aouli. A visit to the vibrant souk, where we will enjoy lunch, is also a must.

In the afternoon, we will head towards Merzouga, one of the regions in Morocco where you can experience the Sahara Desert. Upon arrival, we will embark on a thrilling camel ride, climbing giant dunes and admiring the breathtaking sunset over the vast desert. At night, we will experience the unique silence of the desert while spending the night at a Berber nomad camp. Traditional Berber music and dances around the campfire will further enhance the experience.

DAY 8: MERZOUGA CAMEL RIDE TO KHAMLIA, RISSANI AND LOCAL SOUKS

Witnessing the sunrise over the Sahara’s majestic dunes is an unforgettable experience. To catch this spectacle, we recommend setting your alarm early. After a delightful morning in the desert, we will take a camel ride back to Merzouga through some charming Berber villages. Upon reaching there, our driver will be waiting for us to embark on a more immersive desert drive. After packing our essentials, we will be driving in a 4×4 off-road vehicle deeper into the desert, where we will encounter nomads living in camps and listen to live Gnawa music by the Gnawa tribes. The off-road drive will take us to some fantastic spots, including Lake Dayte Sarje, oases at the dunes, and a site of black volcanic rocks. Later, we will stop at Rissani, where we will explore the souks in the afternoon. We’ll spend the night back in Merzouga.

DAY 9: EXPLORE TODRA, OUARZAZATE, AIT BENHADDOU, AND END IN MARRAKESH

After breakfast, we will resume our journey towards Todra Gorge, where you will be greeted by towering canyons that are around 1,312 feet (400 meters) deep. We will explore the Todra Valley, trekking through oases and hiking along the river gorge. From there, we will drive to Ouarzazate, a city that is home to the kasbahs of Taourirt and Tifoultoute, Atlas Film Studios, and the main square. In the afternoon, we will venture out to Ait Benhaddou, a village that boasts the most renowned kasbah in Morocco. This historic fortress, constructed of red earthen bricks, is over 1200 years old and is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site. Roaming through its winding passageways feels like a journey back in time, making it an incredible destination to explore.

DAY 10: FROM MARRAKECH TO CASABLANCA

After breakfast, we will embark on a tour of Marrakech, also known as “The Red City” due to its signature sandstone buildings. Our morning will begin at Jemaa el-Fna, the main square, which hosts several famous souks, such as el Attarin, Smata, and Haddadine. On the west side of the square, we will visit the Koutoubia Mosque and its gardens before having lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will explore the medina and then head to the 16th-century Ben Youssef madrasa, known for its intricate stucco carvings, ceramic tiles, and woodwork, as well as its beautiful cedarwood ceilings and interior courtyard. We will also visit the kasbah to the south, which houses Bahia Palace, El Badi Palace, and Saadian Tombs if time permits.

Our tour of Marrakech will conclude with a visit to the majestic Majorelle Gardens, once owned by the renowned French fashion designer Yves Saint-Laurent.
