DAY 2: DISCOVER THE BEST OF FES

After a comfortable night’s stay in your riad/hotel, you’ll have a full day to explore the imperial capital of Morocco, Fes. Considered one of the oldest and most culturally rich cities in the world, Fes is an absolute must-visit destination in Morocco. We’ll start the day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a guided tour of the historic area of Fes, also known as the old Medina. Your expert local guide will take you through the maze-like streets of the old city, where you’ll be surrounded by stunning architecture and historical landmarks. You’ll explore the traditional souks, where you can haggle for some of Morocco’s most exquisite handicrafts and souvenirs.

After leaving Fes and passing through Ifrane, known as the “Switzerland of Africa” for its cool climate and unique architecture, we will venture through the cedar forest, one of the largest forests in North Africa. As we make our way down the Atlas Mountains towards the Sahara Desert, we’ll pass by Berber settlements and angular rock walls, with natural springs dotting the landscape. One of the highlights of this part of the journey is encountering the macaque, a rare species of monkey native to the area. We’ll have the opportunity to feed them and observe them in their natural habitat.

After a delicious lunch in Midelt, we’ll continue our journey to the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. As we arrive in the evening, we’ll be welcomed to a hotel where we’ll have a warm dinner and spend the night. The following day will be filled with exciting desert adventures, including a camel ride and exploration of the vast dunes.

DAY 4: DISCOVER THE BEAUTY OF MERZOUGA

On the fourth day of your 7 days tour from Tangier, you’ll experience the beauty and magic of the Sahara. Rise and shine early in the morning to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the sand dunes of Merzouga. You’ll be amazed by the colors and the peacefulness of the moment. Our first stop will be at Khamlia village, where we’ll meet the Gnawa musicians and enjoy their mesmerizing music and dance. The sunset over the dunes is truly a magnificent sight and is one of the most famous sunsets in the world. You’ll have plenty of time to take photos and enjoy the serene surroundings. For the night, we’ll transfer to a luxury camp in the middle of the desert. Here, you’ll have dinner and spend the night under the starry sky, surrounded by the peacefulness of the Sahara. The Gnawa music group will also join us for the evening, and we’ll dance around a fire, enjoying the warmth and the music. It will be an unforgettable night in the heart of the desert.

DAY 5: FROM MERZOUGA TO TODRA AND DADES GORGES

On the fourth day of our tour, we will rise early in the morning at our campsite to witness the breathtaking sunrise once again before indulging in a delicious breakfast. After that, we will embark on a scenic drive towards the Todgha Gorges, passing through Rissani and Tinjdad en route. As we approach the Todgha Gorges, you will be mesmerized by the beauty of the High Atlas gorges, which have been created naturally over time by the River Todra carving through limestone. The gorge is a popular tourist destination in Morocco due to its ancient appearance, with towering canyon walls that soar over 400 meters above the ground.

After enjoying the beauty of the gorge and having lunch, we will proceed towards the Dades Valley, where we will be treated to expansive views of the stunning landscape. We will spend the evening at a nearby hotel located in the Dades Gorge, where we will have dinner and breakfast the following morning.

DAY 6: EXPLORE DADES GORGES, OUARZAZATE, AIT BEN HADDOU AND MARRAKECH

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will embark on the next leg of our journey towards Ouarzazate, a well-known filming location that has served as the backdrop for countless movies and TV shows. Along the way, we will pass by numerous Kasbahs, ancient fortified structures that were once home to wealthy families and served as centers of trade and governance. Our first stop will be in Kalaat Mgouna, also known as the heart of the rose valley, where we will visit the regional cooperative for the rose business and learn about the production of rose water and other rose-based products. Continuing on our journey, we will arrive at the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has stood for nearly a thousand years and was once an important stop along the trade route between the Sahara Desert and Marrakech.

Today, Ait Ben Haddou is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Morocco and a must-see stop for travelers exploring the country. We will take time to explore the ancient architecture, winding alleys, and unique culture of this incredible place before stopping for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant that serves traditional Moroccan cuisine. Finally, we will make our way towards Marrakech, one of the most vibrant and colorful cities in Morocco. Here, you will spend the night in a beautiful Riad, a traditional Moroccan house with a central courtyard, before continuing on to the next leg of your journey the following day.

DAY 7: TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT FROM MARRAKECH
